Six times in the Book of Acts the church is referred to as “The Way,” translated to mean “the road, or path, leading to God.” How do we define the church centuries later? And, is the church still a viable vehicle for God? Minister Don McLaughlin explores these questions and the role of today’s church in his final 2018 sermon series “In Roads.”
Nowhere are the traits of The Way more clearly demonstrated than by the small group of believers who God asks to help with the integration of the new Christian – Saul of Tarsus. – into the band of believers. Listen to Don explain the challenges of this process that calls on efforts by individuals, as well as the collective church as a whole. We see that moving past personal comfort zones into anxiety and questioning and finally into the security of God’s love can make heroes out of us all in the battle for God.
