The ANCHOR Ministry’s mission is to provide an oasis where individuals struggling with substance issues can find the strength, healing power and the blessings of the Kingdom of God.The ministry was started in 2000 by a member of North Atlanta who recognized the necessity for spiritual formation and support to those in recovery. North Atlanta’s leadership and volunteers joined with this vision and set out to be a church that was welcoming and supportive to the recovering community.

Years after this original vision, ANCHOR is now driven by a large group of dedicated volunteers who “Love First” and is led by Adam Paa, ANCHOR Minister and Jasmine Turner, ANCHOR minister and Discipleship Coordinator.  Adult volunteers are supported and guided by the ANCHOR ministers and a volunteer steering committee. As a proactive ministry, we are always searching for residential treatment programs and sober living communities to support. Currently ANCHOR partners with Mary Hall Freedom House, Right Side Up, P.A.C.E. INC and Vision Warriors Recovery Community. ANCHOR is grateful to work with each of these programs to help support the spiritual needs of each community.

It is important to note that all people who struggle with substance issues are welcome and will be supported by ANCHOR, not just those who are in the above programs.
