Missions Ministry

Jesus said, "Go into all the world and preach the good news." Mark 16:15

North Atlanta's goal is to respond to the Lord's commission. North Atlanta's leadership and congregation support a strong evangelistic and missionary effort locally, nationally, and internationally. Our Bible school curriculum from preschool age through adult has a basic theme to be about the Lord's work of sharing the Good News and leading others to Christ. Our leadership encourages us to be involved by supporting a variety of mission-minded activities.  The Children's Ministry teaches the need to share the story of Jesus with their playmates. Our junior high students through college and singles are involved in a very real way through annual mission campaigns to encourage and support the full-time workers and to evangelize the local populace.

The evangelistic efforts of North Atlanta are divided into separate areas for leadership and oversight responsibilities: Local evangelism, Atlanta Outreach, Atlanta Inner-city Ministry (AIM), church plantings, and national and foreign missions. The overseeing leadership for national and foreign missions uses three methods to provide full-time evangelists or missionaries at selected mission points:

  • Select, develop, and support locals or nationals wherever and whenever possible. The success of evangelizing a nation ultimately must be in the hands of the local nationals.
  • Select and fully support proven, mission-minded U.S. teams to plant, nurture, and develop local congregations.
  • Coordinate and oversee a mission point financially supported by other congregations.

The North Atlanta church primarily focuses its non-local missions to:

Long Island
Kazakhstan
Cozumel
Right Steps
AIM
Ukraine
Mexico CIty
Church Plantings
Russia

Paul said, "Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message." Colossians 4:2-3
