Jesus said, "Go into all the world and preach the good news" (Mark 16:15), and North Atlanta Church of Christ seeks to respond to the Lord's commission. North Atlanta focuses missions resources on the following areas:
North Atlanta Church of Christ helped plant a church in the city of Donetsk that now broadcasts a nationwide television program presented by a local minister. A well-organized staff responds to thousands of inquiry letters and offers Bible correspondence lessons. Correspondents are invited to seminars where they learn more about how to conduct a small house church in their area.
North Atlanta supports Right Steps, Inc., which operates Susana Homes, a residential ministry that cares for orphaned, destitute, and homeless children. The Susana Homes compound also contains the Nwanyieze Memorial Clinic, the Right Steps Christian School, and the Church of Christ at Susana Homes.
North Atlanta helped establish a congregation in Almaty in response to a university student asking for spiritual help for her home city. This church has a special outreach to youth and operates an orphanage. The leaders of this ministry are missionaries from Russia.
Since the fall of the Soviet Union, North Atlanta Church of Christ has supported local new church plants in several cities of central and western Russia.
Chris & Sarah Nicholson help provide for physical and spiritual needs of children at the Ringroad Orphanage in Kisumu, Kenya, working through Christian Relief Fund, a Texas-based ministry. The North Atlanta Church of Christ provides spiritual support and oversight, and many North Atlanta members also provide financial support for the Nicholsons and their work.
North Atlanta financially supports Atlanta Inner-city Ministry (AIM), and several North Atlanta members work in this program by teaching and donating clothing and supplies. The ministry operates through the Lakewood Church of Christ to provide for basic human needs to residents of South Fulton County.
Student Ministry Mission Trips
In order to help our young people see the world first from a spiritual perspective, a portion of our missions budget is used to encourage short-term mission trips for students.
Global Support Ministries
North Atlanta gives a small amount of financial support to two organizations that provide resources and support for missionaries in various countries: Eastern European Missions and Missions Resource Network.
