Welcome to the fourth annual North Atlanta Church of Christ Volleyball Classic! Here, you’ll be inspired to reach for new heights as your team experiences the exhilaration of competing against the best in Atlanta. This year, we’ve decided to make this a men’s tournament, not coed. We’ve also made some improvements so competition during the tournament is more equal and aligned. Space is limited with only 16 teams competing, and last year we had to turn teams away, so make sure you sign up quick and secure your team’s spot in this tournament.

TOURNAMENT DATES & LOCATION:
Friday and Saturday, November 14-15, 2008

ENTRY FEE:
$25 per player, plus a $60 non-refundable team registration fee. Standard is team of 6 players. Minimum of 5 players per team. There is no maximum numbers of players that you can register, although you can only play with an 8 player line-up per game. Your entry fee includes a tournament T-shirt. In order to secure your team into the tournament, you must have a Team Captain fill out the Team Captain form online or manually fill out the Team Captain form and send it in. Early registration ends on November 7, 2008. Teams registering after Nov. 7, 2008 will incur a $20 surcharge. Early registration is encouraged to ensure placement. Space is limited and we filled up last year. Tournament allows for a maximum of 16 teams. Your team is guaranteed at least 8 games or 4 matches. This is a men’s tournament. Prizes and gift packages for top winners.
TOURNAMENT DETAILS:
Open Play tournament on indoor courts for BB-A level men’s competitive teams. Standard volleyball rules apply such as an 8ft net. We will also have concessions available including healthy lunch and dinner options. Please bring cash.
Pool Play
In the pool play round, each team will play two games against the other three teams in their pool to 25 points using rally scoring. After registration, Team Captain will receive registration confirmation and will be notified by email of what pool your team was placed in, and what time to show up, either Friday night or Saturday morning. You may get to the gym early and warm up. Team Captains must show up an hour before their scheduled game play to go over any tournament changes, check in their teams, and meet with their Concierge. There will be a combined warm-up time of 5 minutes before each game/match. If a team is more than 15 minutes late or doesn’t have more than 4 players checked in, then that team must forfeit. Each team must submit a player line-up to the scorekeeper before each game/match.
Check-In at gym, no later than 30 minutes before scheduled play time.

Pool #B [4 teams] 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm play time [court 2]
Pool #C [4 teams] 8:00 am – 12:00 pm play time [court 1]
Pool #D [4 teams] 8:00 am – 12:00 pm play time [court 2]
Tournament Playoffs
The tournament will begin after pool play is complete. Pool play will determine placement in one of the two tournament brackets. The top two teams from each pool will be entered into the Gold bracket. The two bottom teams in each pool will be entered into the Silver bracket. Teams will play the best 2 of 3 games to 25 points using rally scoring. Single elimination for tournament will be in effect.
PAYMENT OPTIONS:

If you register in person, you must turn in your signed registration form and pay with check, cash or credit card (see back). Make checks payable to North Atlanta Church of Christ. Registration hours will be weekdays from 8am-4pm. Drop off your registration form and check at the church office to Judy Magowan.

FROM GA 400 (HWY. 19) SOUTHBOUND
Take the Northridge exit (#6) which loops around. At the light turn right and cross over the bridge. At the stop light veer right and travel south on Roberts Drive one mile. Our building is on the right. Gym is in the back.

Take the Northridge exit (#6) which loops around. Stay in the far left lane and go straight across Northridge and travel south on Roberts drive one mile. Our building is on the right. Gym is in the back.
